Keeping my Vision in Mind

IMG_0329Two days after Christmas and I want to say that I had one of the best holidays ever!  It was a fabulous couple of days and I got just what I wanted, there were no tears, no drama, and everyone got along.  Heaven!  (Thank you kids!)

But today, as life started resuming to what is the present “normal”, I started to consider what my next steps will be.  Leading up to the holiday I felt such momentum.  I felt energized.  I felt happy.  I could see my future unfolding.

And then, the vision was interrupted.

As I mentioned, the interruption wasn’t unpleasant, but it separated me from the progress I had been making.  So I wondered, when we want to achieve a goal and begin to make progress but then that progress hits a detour, how do we keep in mind the direction we were heading and get moving once again?

This is different from the universe providing cosmic redirection.  It’s not that I should be following a different path.  In this case it’s just that I became temporarily distracted from the direction I was going.

I can see how this has happened to me before.  I was moving!  Things were clicking!  And…oops! Interruption happens and…. there goes my focus, my attention, my action.  And before I know it, I forget where I was going, my vision has been redirected.

Bham!  There went my diet!  Exercise?  You thought!  Writing? Oh, I’m not feeling it!  Cleaning? Not today!

All those “resolutions”… bust!

So, how do I keep the vision in mind and work to regain the momentum?  Act!  Just act.

Yes, may be it is with a necessary push but…the reason the ideas of what you want to do comes to mind is to remind you that may be, just may be, you want to do something about them before they escape or transform forever!

So, do a little bit.  And then a little more.  Find a way to see what you saw before something got in the way.  It works.  Just like putting on the glasses you need to see…suddenly you can see the leaves and not just the green of the tree.  Suddenly you regain your vision.  Your momentum begins to move once again.

I can see it transforming already!
