We All Start Somewhere
Well, here I am again!
Since my last post it feels like I’ve been around the world and back again. Only not in a fun way. You see, the damn little “should gremlins” took over my life! The gremlins belong to those voices in my head that tell me….You should be more responsible…You should put in more time (at other things)…You shouldn’t relax….You should get your work done.
Well, the hell with you gremlins!
Today, I’m launching a new adventure. To set an intention to find and follow adventure will passion. And to be purposeful about it. Along the way, I’ll check-in. I’ll review. I’ll see what I think – and where I go next. I’ll figure out if I like it…or if I don’t. But I’ll do it. I’ll actively engage with that activity, that goal that I set. Oh, and one requirement…it will be fun and it will stretch me. You see, a goal doesn’t work if its something I do any way. A goal works even less if I roll my eyes at it and ignore it. Then it becomes one of the should gremlins in my head, mocking me for not getting started.
Oh, and one other caveat…I may work on more than one thing at a time. Ooooohhhhh! (sound effects please) How daring! I’m really living on the edge! LOL!
So, here is my first goal and it’s going to be short term…I’m going to work out at the gym for the next 5 days. Now, I’m sure that some of you are rolling your eyes! That’s fun? Actually, for me, yes it is. I love it! But here’s the should gremlin that I’ll be destroying – I should take that time to do other things. Well, not for the next 5 days. It is gym time, guilt free!
What would you like to do for the next 5 days? Or 1 or 2? I’m sure you can think of something that you’ve been wanting to do but have put aside. May be its clean your closet. May be its take a nap (guilt free). May be its shop for an awesome pair of shoes. Please tell me about it. I’d love to hear what it is! I’d love to cheer you on!
