A bit about me
Hi! I’m Barb.
After spending a long time trying to build a life the way that I thought it was supposed to look, I now curate my day-to-day in ways that connects me to my deepest core and makes me feel the most alive.
I am a mother, a grandmother, a teacher, an academic, and a life coach. I became a teacher because I was curious about the ways children learned. I got my PhD because I found the environment expansive. I spent over 30 years in universities as faculty, department chair, associate dean and dean. (Oops, I’m aging myself.) The problem was, in many of these roles I never felt seen or supported. I felt invisible. And I was dying inside.
I decided to lean into my spark.
I love to wander. Traveling to new places, usually without a defined plan has always allowed me to discover hidden gems, which is SO cool! I have a deep, deep love of the shore and the ocean and it is where I feel most aligned and expansive.
Becoming a life coach has allowed me to continue supporting others who are yearning to live a life they don’t want to escape from. Instead of feeling drained at the end of the day, it is always an adventure to jump into what’s possible, and what’s next!
